As the President of Snellius, I have an overview of the tasks that are currently being done and all the activities and meetings that are coming up in the near future. Being responsible for this means that I am always up-to-date with our email and that I frequently organize (board) meetings.
The Secretary: Maxx Vercouteren
As the secretary, I am responsible for keeping up our online presence by maintaining the Snellius website, sending out a newsletter every quarter and updating our social media accounts. I am also responsible for a lot of the administrative tasks within Snellius and keeping everything organized.
The Treasurer: Mark Geeraerts
As the treasurer, I am responsible for all matters regarding finances. I keep in contact with our close partners, arrange our contracts and find new partners as well. I also pay for all the activities and excursions to closely keep track of where all the money is going, as well as provide a budget plan.
The Commissioner of Education: Renee Li
As commissioner of education I assess the quality of the courses taught in the Master program by asking students what they thing and holding feedback sessions. I’m also responsible for communication of the feedback given by the students to the CEG evaluation team and the teachers. Finally, I arrange quarterly lunch lectures and become the connecting point between the students and the teachers.
The PhD-Commissioner: Isabel Slingerland
As the PhD commissioner I make sure Snellius keeps in touch with all the PhD candidates of the department and vice versa and encouraging them to become involved with our excursions and activities, trying to close the gap between master students and PhD candidates.
